Donations
Donations and fundraising have enabled the centre to survive, they are invaluable to us. The centre is underfunded and guest bookings don’t cover all our expenses to keep the centre going. Running costs are about £30 per person per night, and we are committed to keeping our sliding scale of payments per night to ensure that women on low incomes can still afford to stay. There are several ways you can support us with financial donations and we greatly appreciate any support you can offer. If you are a tax payer and fill in a Gift-Aid form, we will also be able to claim the tax back from the government, making your donation even bigger.
One-off donations
One-off donations are an essential contribution in keeping the centre going. You can donate as much as you are able to and would like. All contributions matter to us greatly. There are a few ways to donate, including through our online fundraising platform page:

Standing orders
Standing orders are another essential source of vital support for the centre and can be as much as you might like to contribute – from £2 a month upwards. Legacy gifts
By leaving a legacy to the centre you are helping to protect the centre and its future. In 2025, we have been running for 45 years, and a legacy contribution will help ensure we can continue for another 45 years. No matter the size of a gift in your Will, it can make a long-lasting impact and help us to continue to provide such an invaluable and important centre for women and children.

Fundraising for the centre
Fundraising events are always very welcome and also play a huge role our ability to survive and reach more women and children with information about the centre. Fundraisers for the centre can be held by individuals, organisations, groups, events and initiatives. These can be a great way to support us and raise awareness about the centre either through organising your own, taking part in a fundraising event, or directly donating to us as part of the fundraiser.
There are many ways to fundraise: you could join a challenge event like a sponsored walk, swim or run; create a community event; host a clothes-swap or a dinner party or cooking / baking event; host a concert, quiz or open mic night; fundraise through your group, event or initiative; sell items you no longer need or have created yourself, with all or some proceeds going to the centre. These are just some ideas!

Tod Women’s Disco Fundraiser for the Centre: August 2025
We’re really delighted and grateful that the August event of the long-running Tod Women’s Disco will be a fundraiser for the Women’s Holiday Centre! This is also really special as it is our 45th birthday this year, so this will be a great celebration too. Huge thank you to the Tod Women’s Disco for this initiative, we greatly appreciate the support and we are honoured to have such a long and constructive relationship with you. The music will be brilliant and eclectic, the dancing will be wild, and we’d love to see as many WHC women there as possible! We are really looking forward to it!
